SOGO! A MOBILE APP CASE STUDY

SoGo! is a mobile travel app designed to empower solo travelers by reducing stress and anxiety around airport navigation. Solo travelers often feel overwhelmed when flying alone (especially in unfamiliar airports) leading to hesitation, uncertainty, and decreased confidence. SoGo! addresses this gap by acting as a GPS-like guide for airports, helping users move through their journey with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

User Engagement: Encouraging user participation and engagement in user testing and feedback phase. Asking the right questions so the interviewees can tell me their story/pain points I found was most important and most beneficial to the development process.

Learning curve: Managing time and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables. I found that learning these new technical skills takes time to understand and implement

Competitive Research: Navigating the competitive landscape of travel apps and ensuring SoGo! stands out among competitors.This part was a challenge but very rewarding when I found a way for the app to meet my goals and solve the anxiety problem for solo travelers when navigating the airport.

Challenges Faced

Originally I wanted this app to be about the destination- where to go and what to do when you get there. However, I found that a lot of first time solo travelers have anxiety at the beginning of their journey starting with airport navigation.From there I wanted to see how I can alleviate that stress so users could enjoy their trip from start to finish.

The result of my research and development was creating a prototype- SoGo! not just an app, it's a trusted companion for solo travelers! This app guides them every step of the way and empowering them to embark on unforgettable adventures with confidence and peace of mind.
